CRUSADER RABBIT was born at Frostburg (Maryland) State College. They gigged frequently, playing everything from frat parties to armory shows. The band featured Guy Singer on lead vocals, Ed Foy on lead guitar, John Koory on bass and vocals, Henry Smith on rhythm guitar and vocals and the late great Chris Dickinson on drums and vocals.

CRUSADER RABBIT traveled to the Washington DC area for gigs - the cover shot of this recording was taken at a Surrattsville High Teen Club performance. Henry Smith recalls, “That gig we set up on the floor to be “closer to the people” - the rather sizable crowd sat cross-legged on the floor and consumed the performance as a “concert” rather than the teen club dance thing…ah, the “good old days” where there weren’t rules for everything and kids could be freely creative.”

CRUSADER RABBIT LIVE 1972 clocks in an just over 45 minutes, with 14 classic tracks. Mostly full-on rock and roll, but with a few surprises thrown in. LIVE 1972 was recorded on a fairly decent reel to reel tape recorder for it’s time, with a one mic set-up at the front of the band, adding the appropriate “vintage atmosphere” to this release.

Net proceeds from CRUSADER RABBIT LIVE 1972 will be donated to the Surrattsville (Maryland) High School Alumni Association, an organization that supports the students of Surrattsville High School in Clinton Maryland.
